การอ่านแบบเดี่ยวสำหรับทุกคน
GenderFilter: Individuelles Lesen für alle is a Chrome add-on developed by Michael Ganzer. It aims to enhance the individual comprehensibility of German text content by allowing readers to choose their preferred gender.
The idea behind GenderFilter was born almost three years ago when Michael Ganzer expressed on Facebook how helpful it would be if every reader could voluntarily select the gender in which they wanted to read a German text. The add-on primarily focuses on the currently circulating "diverse" formulations.
For example, phrases like "Leser*innen" or "Leser:innen" can be transformed into "Leser" (masculine), "Leserinnen" (feminine), or "Lesery" (diverse), based on the user's preference.
Currently, the developer is working on the first extension, which aims to eliminate further disruptive effects on reading flow and resolve some case-specific obstacles. The upcoming version will include all corpora identified as gendered at least once.
